Hi,

Hello, my name is Patricia Greig,   I consider myself a serious crafty person….at the age of seven yrs I was taught how to make knickers out of Mum’s old under skirts!!! and how to turn Fathers collars back to front when they started to fray.    Yes, looking back we were poor, however all the families in my neighbourhood were in the same situation.  I remember lots of laughing as wives and mothers darned their husband’s and children’s socks on sunny Sunday evenings using funny wooden mushroom shaped implements to hold the sock in place.   The wives and mothers sat on chairs by open front doors chatting and laughing, myself and other younger children learnt how to knit crochet sew or embroider whist sitting on the front door steps just by mothers knee.    Those days have long gone but I still have the knack of turning an old bit of cloth or furniture into something pleasing to the eye.  This is the reason I have had to express my delight in your Old Christmas Treasures Cd’s.  I have been paper crafting for yonks  and yonks  (old English term….not in dictionary) my first love is working with parchment.  Two years ago when I retired, I decided that I would like to be totally unconventional and stretch my ideas in parchment craft to a new level.   My desire has been to incorporate new technology with the age old craft plus a little bling a bit of imagination and new products.  I have purchased quite a few Cd’s during this time and have used them in my craftwork.   However, there has always been something missing, although my work has always been received with pleasure and sometimes tears by the recipient of the gift.  There has always been this feeling of …not quite what I wanted to achieve….until now.    Oh!  What a true treasure, Idea’s are racing, how I wish I had this Cd before I had completed all my Christmas cards…. (You have to start early with parchment craft).     Thank you for leaving blanks, so that I can create my own designs, thank you for the colours they lend themselves so wonderfully to the parchment, thank you for the templates so that my granddaughter can use the other Cd on the lap top whilst I lose myself in Cd 1. 

Just received the double pack Ye Olde Christmas Treasures.
Of all the dozens of discs I have from so many different companies
these two are by far the most outstanding.
And have only had a quick look uptil now.

Hi Jan,

I purchased the Gardener's delight cd from Create and Craft when it was first shown and would like to pass on my thoughts to you.  I have been unable to use the cd until very recently due to ill health but have taken more than the occasional look at the artwork whilst I recovered.

I emailed the show when I first saw the cd to say I had been searching for some time for traditional canal art Roses and Castles papers without success and I must tell you that I am more than delighted with the images and designs.  I purchase a lot of traditional canal art and commission an artist to make up planters at the end of every season with the names of the waterways we visited that year.  The artwork on the cd can hold it's own against these planters and the planter, wheelbarrow, pitcher and watering can are very good choices as these were all standard equipment on the old working boats!

I adore the artwork and would have been more than happy to pay the price of the cd for just that section so the garden section, to me, is a bonus!

I would not hesitate to recommend your cd to anyone who has an interest in not only traditional canal art but folk art as well.  The roses are the traditional style painted by the boatmen as are the castle designs, complete with little sail boats on the lake in the background!

Please, please consider bringing out more folk art style cd's as I am sure there is not only me that would purchase them.

Many thanks for a wonderful product and my admiration for the obvious research put into the designs.

I have also taken a quick look around your web site and am sure an order will be forthcoming in the not too distant future.
